Electricans Journeyman Welding Class

Gary Majewski of the Plumbers & Fitters Local 6 completed a 3-day welding class for 16 Electricians in late February. The class covered the safety and use of a torch for cutting, welding and brazing. Gary also gave instructions on safety and use of arc and wire feed welders. This was a hand on class with an excellent instructor, eager students, great training with state of the art equipment. This was the first time a welding class during the day in the middle of the week has been offered for the electricians. It happen to work out to have a day class as Gary Majewski was available to teach, Tony Regner, Training Director for Local 6 had space available in their training facility and a number of unemployed electricians were interested in taking training that did not use up a large number of their evenings. The timing was right, the training was great and it was nice to use our fellow union tradesmen to advance our skills, improving the construction industry. Thanks to all who participated.
