CPI held annual meeting for 2008

The annual meeting of Construction Partnership, Inc., a union labor - management organization in Southern Minnesota, was held Dec. 10th at the Kahler Grand Hotel. Forty-four members and guests attended the annual breakfast buffet meeting for 2008 at the Kahler Grand Hotel Senator David Senjem presented a Legislative update and Dennis Hanson spoke about Rochester's issues.

The following members were elected to the 2009 Board of Directors:
Greg Donley of HiMEC, Inc. as co-chair;
Mark Caron of Bricklayers Local #8 as co-chair;
Greg Andrist of Sheet Metal Workers� Local #10 as secretary; Aaron Benike of Alvin E. Benike, Inc as treasurer.

Guest speaker was Gary Smith, Vice President of RAEDI, who gave a positive presentation about Rochester's future.

Instead of table gifts this year Don presented Major Jim Frye with the Salvation Army with a check for $600.

Don made the announcement that December 31 he will be retiring and the new board will be restructuring. Don stated he will take care of some of the administrative duties as needed during this transition.

On behalf of the Board members, Greg Donley and Mark Caron presented Don De Keyrel with a ceramic eagle and plaque that read:
By Construction Partnership in recognition of his lifetime of service and leadership to the union construction industry.

Aaron Benike read a letter from Jim Benike, recognizing Don's retirement, since he could not be present at the meeting.

The meeting then ajourned concluding another good year.
